Watch: Spielberg revisits a Joan Crawford moment to “fish movie” for TCM

Read Time:35 Second

by Quendrith Johnson, Los Angeles Correspondent

If you missed last night’s TCM Classic Film Festival opener, where Steven Spielberg held court with Host Ben Mankiewicz, watch this clip we have from the event. It is a very private look into Hollywood’s highest-grossing director’s foray into filmmaking. “Walking a mile and a half to the theater” after taking “fifty cents – in dimes – from the cookie jar.” The movies stole their way into his heart, lol. He talks the “fish movie” some execs had called JAWS  and more. Even E.T., wait for it!

Very endearing, enjoy…

TCM Classic Film Festival 2002 continues through April 24. Watch for more with us, visit the fest here.
