Last year, I partnered up with James Varner to Co-Direct the Trail Running Film Festival. For those unfamiliar, the festival is traditionally a 3-day event in Seattle, WA followed by a highlight reel of the best films on 40+ city national tour. TrailRunnerFF2020As Covid 19 has put the world into shutdown, James and I decided to pivot and take the festival to a live virtual audience. This has been a super rewarding project as we await the return of “normal” life.

The Virtual Edition can be watched from anywhere around the world live, this Friday May 1st at 5:30pm (Pacific Time) and/or the recorded show will be available soon after.

To watch all you need to do is buy a $10 ticket in advance and we’ll send you a link so you can join us for the show! If you just can’t afford $10 right now just email me and we’ll hook you up. We want this to be available to everyone!

TrailRunnersFF2020Also when you buy your ticket you’ll have the opportunity to add $5, or more, to your order and 100% of those funds will go to the YWCA’s Covid 19 Emergency Relief Fund.

We’ve already raised over $20,000 to help families, women, and children most impacted by this pandemic.

Our vision is to have thousands of runners from across the country tuning in for an evening of inspiration and community.

We have a lineup of 15 awesome brand new films, interviews with athletes, and hundreds of prizes to give away.

We really hope you can join us, virtually of course! Friday May 1st 5:30pm (Pacific Time)

When we asked pro filmmaker Matt Trappe how he would like to be involved in this year’s Trail Running Film Festival he suggested we ask the world to pull out their cell phones and show us their COVID 19 Era lives.

Matt then took the footage and weaved it into a heartwarming short film highlighting the spirit, creativity, and passion our community exudes on a daily basis whether our races and group runs are currently still happening or not.

Aspire organizes single and multi-day running adventures in wilderness terrain. We provide logistical and emergency support paired with delicious meals for a unique and memorable backcountry running experience.
