To Live and Die in LA: Vidiots turns 40

Los Angeles, CA:  Vidiots, the beloved Los Angeles video store and non-profit film organization will kick-off a year of 40th Anniversary Celebrations this November, featuring over a dozen films from 1985, many special guests, restoration premieres, audience favorites, and a special 40th Birthday Bash and Benefit on Thursday, Nov. 13, to keep Vidiots alive and thriving for 40 more.

Honoring Vidiots’ milestone anniversary, and one of the greatest years in film history, special events will include celebrations of the beloved 1985 films CLUE® on Friday, Nov. 14, with two screenings, and iconic cast members Colleen Camp and Michael McKean in person, and Krush Groove on Friday, Nov. 21, with luminaries Michael Schultz and Ernest Dickerson, followed by a screening of Schultz’s ‘85 cult classic The Last Dragon.

Vidots 101 – In Case You Forgot How To DVD?

To kick-off the celebrations, Vidiots will host a 40th Birthday Bash on Thursday, Nov. 13, to benefit the nonprofit organization, with an unforgettable night of laughs, dancing, drinks, and nostalgia as we party like it’s 1985 for L.A.’s favorite film hub. The evening will include Vidiots’ resident DJs, an epic silent auction, and a one-night-only comedy show Salute to Vidiots hosted by Paul Scheer and featuring Vidiots’ funniest members and friends, Ike Barinholtz, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Emily V. Gordon, Ify Nwadiwe, Kumail Nanjiani, Tai Leclaire, Timothy Simons, and more. Vidiots will close the night with a big screen, big energy dance party in the historic Eagle Theatre. Bring your friends, your best moves, and your love of cinema.
