One of the most successful actors to transition from child-to-adult star is Oscar-winner Natalie Portman. #AFIMOVIECLUB just got her to reveal Portman’s personally most watched film of all time. Now you’ll get to see her in a home-setting, complete with Swiss Coffee wall backdrop and dark beige curtains in the background. We can’t tell you if it’s her actual primary residence, but Portman, who has literally reshaped herself for such stellar roles as BLACK SWAN and LUCY IN THE SKY, will surprise you with her actual favorite film right now.

Portman Has a Dancing Gene, Big Hint, Huge Hit

Now Natalie’s Favorite Movie Makes Sense, Right?

WHAT:     Natalie Portman announces today’s AFI Movie Club selection: DIRTY DANCING. The film is featured on three of AFI’s lists of the greatest American films, earning a place on the list of the greatest love stories of all time. “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” is ranked #86 on AFI’s greatest songs in American film, and “Nobody puts Baby in a corner” is on AFI’s list of the 100 best movie quotes!

DID YOU KNOW? Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey previously starred together in director John Milius’ RED DAWN. In this exclusive AFI Archive video, Patrick Swayze talks about his famous line in DIRTY DANCING.

Oh, you probably know her husband Benjamin Millepied headed Paris Opera Ballet, and is now an LA choreographer and dancer. But, did you know he was once a soloist and principal with the New York City Ballet, who also makes great children? (Okay we threw that in there, ps, because we’re huge Natalie Portman fans, and everything she touches is award-worthy – even parenthood.)

[This still is from Portman’s movie LUCY IN THE SKY.]

Enjoy – and nobody puts Natalie or her babies in corner.  We miss you, Patrick Swayze… Luckily,  Swayze’s Ghost in the Machine of filmmaking lives on. 🙂
