TOP GUN: MAVERICK, or adrenaline on tap right now watch

Hello Aviators, actually earlier today Paramount led with “Good Morning Aviators” as they dropped a new poster and trailer for the long-awaited Navy ace flier sequel to the iconic TOP GUN. There aren’t enough adjectives for the much-needed adrenaline feel-good boost in the footage. But seat yourself for the ride, on this Tom Cruise 2.0 starrer, as David Ellison’s Skydance and Jerry Bruckheimer Films offer up a new teaser for this Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Production.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK is directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by the interesting team of Ehren Kruger and Eric Warren Singer as well as usual suspect Christopher McQuarrie. Maverick also stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis with Ed Harris and with a return spot for IceMan Val Kilmer.

Buckle Up, Buttercup

Did you already guess the plot?

Okay, so three decades on, the Navy’s top aviator Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) resurfaces as a test pilot, with all the derring-do that this crazy dangerous job implies. When tasked to train a posse of TOPGUN grads, Maverick runs up against smart-ass, or call sign Rooster, Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller).

This kid, much like a young Tom Cruise in the first smash hit, bites down hard where authority is concerned.

The plot pivot here? Rooster is the next generation of badasses, and son of his beloved deceased seat-mate Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, or Goose, as fans knew and loved him. And this is when the shouting starts, as Mav faces off in tense circumstances against Rooster, who is apparently nothing like his old man, easy-going Goose…

The rest of the saga you have to wait for, when TOP GUN: MAVERICK bows in theaters, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX on May 27, 2022.

#TopGun to follow on Social Media, Aviators…
