Veer left onto Forest Service Road 77 and travel for approximately 5 miles to Windingstair Gap (intersection of Forest Service Road 77, Forest Service Road 42, and Forest Service Road 58). Recommended Train to South Bend, fly, bus. Continue another 2.5 miles on SC 107 to Oconee State Park. $3 park entry fee. I hate to recommend this trail, because the best thing about it is that we saw no one else, even on a perfect summer day.

The Spine Trail will eventually reach all the way south to Roosevelt Heights, where it will meet the Pemberton Hill Road Trail. But the short hike to the falls is about 30 minutes away.
