After arriving at 7pm after a 15 hr coach journey we were served an evening meal which has to be said was very bland and basic,the tomato soup was lovely but could of done with a bread roll that was followed by a chicken breast and a "spoonful"of rice and gravy and then a few bits of banana and yoghurt for dessert.The following nights offering was just as bad so the last night we went with other guests to a lovely italian restaurant in the town which was fantastic and only a 5 minute walk away.Breakfast consists of crispy rolls,cold meat,cheese,cereal and fruit and"diluted"orange juice,coffee is on the table but the manager comes round with a pot of tea which is as weak as the orange juice.As there are no tea making faciliites in the room i would take a kettle and tea bags with you and make a brew before going to breakfast!the room we had was lovely,clean,comfy beds and a nice big clean bathroom however we were at the back of the hotel which was very quiet but some of our group were at the front of the hotel and had freight trains running up and down all night.The bar is ok but the atmosphere is down to the guests making friends and having a laugh nothing to do with the staff who lack personality.Overall a nice basic,clean base to explore the surrounding area but I would definately make your own arrangements for dinner!
