Yes, the Upbraidy Bunch strikes again over at Funny or Die with curated SNL and other videos for the General Election coming up. You’ve got Woody Harrelson as Biden; Larry David as Bernie Sanders. But the key clip includes the multitalented Maya Rudolph as the Democrat’s new nominee for Vice President, Kamala Harris. What a ringer.
Rudolph gives Alec Baldwin a run for his money as President Trump, as the SNL alum declares “Mama needs a GIF” in the guise of presumptive nominee Sen. Kamala Harris from the great State of California.
The real U.S. Senator, now presumptive nominee, has a biography that reads as if it was written by DC Comics.
“Growing up in Oakland, Kamala had a stroller-eye view of the Civil Rights movement. Through the example of courageous leaders like Thurgood Marshall, Constance Baker Motley, and Charles Hamilton Houston, Kamala learned the kind of character it requires to stand up to the powerful, and resolved to spend her life advocating for those who could not defend themselves.”
With an undergraduate degree from the Howard University, followed by a law degree from the University of California, Hastings, Harris went on to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
The two-term former DA of San Francisco also has a pretty good sense of humor, so Rudolph’s portrayal is probably a flattering add to an already glittering resume in American political history.
Here’s Kamala! (You know you’ve arrived when SNL does a caricature on National, uh global, TV.)
Now that you’ve had a laugh at their expense, subscribe to weekly guffaws from the Upbraidy Bunch below, and try not to laugh out loud in public. Coughing fit? We live in a canned space, under watch, goodbye liberty, justice, and freedom for all… Meanwhile if you dare wheeze or cough in public?
Someone will call the MyCorona police on you. 😉
Follow Maya Rudolph, one of the greatest comedians who ever lived (hey, it’s our opinion), here.
