Mod-hatted, awesome Oscar winner, Halle Berry has it going on at-home-fashion-wise in her touching introduction to the Spielberg family classic, E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL for #AFIMOVIECLUB. 
Berry earned her place in Hollywood History for the MONSTER’S BALL Academy Award, but Halle earned her place in our hearts as the superstar who is a health, fitness, and survival mentor for so many girls and women…
Not to mention as a recovered Bond “Girl” (yes, just kidding), mother, and powerhouse in her own right in with her production company 606 Films, named in honor of the California State Senate legislation that prohibits paparazzi stalker shots of celebrity children.
Now, back to our film, ET. Yes, there’s that moon-shot flyover bicycle scene that set a million underage hearts racing for their Huffy bikes, but there’s more to the dress-up playing space visitor than meets the eye on screen. Uncle Spielberg also gave us more than the cute tot to future mogul Drew Barrymore, he opened our imaginations to the space-time continuum and the possibility of life on other planets. Okay, maybe he just threw all that in as the backdrop to an extraordinary coming-of-age family epic about closeness learned from the farthest reaches of the galaxy. All in the guise of a pruned puppet with a big heart, who shined star light on our everyday lives back in 1982…

DID YOU KNOW? Steven Spielberg and producer Kathleen Kennedy thought of the idea for E.T. before starting production on RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. It was Kennedy who suggested screenwriter Melissa Mathison – who had worked on one of Kennedy’s favorite films, THE BLACK STALLION.
