The International Press Academy’s 25th Annual Satellite Awards wins are out, and NOMADLAND pulled into the drive-in’s with a Motion Picture, Drama topper, plus Best Director for Chloé Zhao, and Best Actress for Frances McDormand. Sacha Baron Cohen won for Motion Picture, Comedy, Best Actor for BORAT: SUBEQUENT MOVIEFILM, as did his controversial co-star Maria Bakalova.
Amanda Seyfried won Best Supporting for MANK, and Chadwick Boseman got his posthumous due as Best Supporting Actor for Spike Lee’s war story DA 5 BLOODS. PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN’s Writer/Director Emerald Fennell won for Best Screenplay.
TV categories include wins by “Mrs. America,” “Unorthodox,” and “Schitt’s Creek,” with nod to Eugene Levy and two for “Better Call Saul,” including Bob Odenkirk with a win. “Haunting of Bly Manor” is also a winner.

The IPA’s membership includes domestic and international journalists who represent nearly every major and independent media outlet, in print, broadcast, on the radio, through podcasts, and streaming, worldwide. The members also vote on the creative and technical awards for excellence in film and television.
